The Scriptures have a lot to say about the taking of innocent human life. It is appropriate to draw parallels between Israel who would "cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire" and America who has literally put millions of children through the knives of abortionists.
God has a very specific reaction to this:
“Because they have forsaken Me and have made this an alien place and have burned sacrifices in it to other gods, that neither they nor their forefathers nor the kings of Judah had ever known, and because they have filled this place with the blood of the innocent and have built the high places of Baal to burn their sons in the fire as burnt offerings to Baal, a thing which I never commanded or spoke of, nor did it ever enter My mind; therefore, behold, days are coming,” declares the LORD, “when this place will no longer be called Topheth or the valley of Ben-hinnom, but rather the valley of Slaughter (Jeremiah 19:4-6).Abortion is not God's idea. It is not one of his commands.
God has specifically commanded against this:
You shall not behave thus toward the LORD your God, for every abominable act which the LORD hates they have done for their gods; for they even burn their sons and daughters in the fire to their gods (Deuteronomy 12:31).This is not a small matter:
Moreover, you took your sons and daughters whom you had borne to Me and sacrificed them to idols to be devoured. Were your harlotries so small a matter? You slaughtered My children and offered them up to idols by causing them to pass through the fire (Ezekiel 16:20-21).God evicted an entire nation from the promised land and sent his chosen people into exile because of this:
They built the high places of Baal that are in the valley of Ben-hinnom to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire to Molech, which I had not commanded them nor had it entered My mind that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin. Now therefore thus says the LORD God of Israel concerning this city of which you say, “It is given into the hand of the king of Babylon by sword, by famine and by pestilence.” (Jeremiah 32:35-36).Exile could have been avoided:
Your prophets have said foolish things, false to the core. They did not save you from exile by pointing out your sins (Lamentations 2:14).

Israel needed her sin pointed out.
America needs her sin pointed out. This is no time to hide our eyes.
