Leader Schumer is framing the issue as preserving “marriage equality” and describing everything before the 2015 Obergefell decision as “marriage discrimination.”
Another way to frame it as a Nation having had marriage integrity, and now having marriage corruption.
It's always possible to frame any side of any issue as a positive. The question is not what sounds good, but rather, what matches up to the Truth in the Word of God.
Please keep the retiring Republican Senators in your prayers as it relates to that pending vote during a possible post-election lame duck session during this Congress. Truly, some of these Senators know not what they eternally do.
- Alabama — Richard Shelby
- Missouri — Roy Blunt
- North Carolina — Richard Burr
- Ohio — Rob Portman
- Oklahoma — Jim Inhofe
- Pennsylvania — Pat Toomey
Father, let these Senators be gripped by the gravity of what they do, and may they not listen to lies, but to You and Your Word and Your Truth.
“Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.” (Ephesians 4:29)
