In Context: Reaping in Due Time

After the first week of this new Congress ended where a Congress usually begins—with the election of a Speaker—and after midnight, when the time came the traditional passing of the gavel from one Speaker to another, instead Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries fired off a defiant message of rejecting the American people's message in their 2022 election defeat.

His warm-up comments included quoting Galatians: “The Scripture says in Galatians: ‘Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.’” Indeed it does, Galatians 6:9.
